Statewide Insurance Company (SWICO) joined dog owners and animal welfare advocates at the Kampala Dog Festival, held at Dolphin Suites in Bugolobi on 27th September 2026.

As a sponsor, SWICO engaged visitors at its branded tent and explained how Dog Insurance can provide financial protection for covered accidents and illnesses. These discussions gave pet owners an opportunity to ask questions about the policy and to consider the role of insurance alongside responsible animal care.

The festival combined a dog walk and red-carpet activities with contributions from practitioners and organisations including the Uganda Police, the Canine Association of Uganda and Animal Welfare Alliance Uganda. SWICO representatives met visitors and introduced the cover to a community of pet owners.

For SWICO, the event provided an opportunity to explain a specialised product through direct conversation with the people it is designed to serve. It also placed insurance within a wider discussion about the health and welfare of dogs.
