On Saturday 5th September, Statewide Insurance Company (SWICO) participated in the 2026 Love for Cars Convention at Bat Valley School in Kampala. The event brought together motorists, automotive enthusiasts and industry stakeholders under the theme “Fuel Efficiency in an Age of Price Fluctuation.”
Panel discussions explored the practical costs and responsibilities of vehicle ownership, including vehicle protection and legal considerations. Mechanics, diagnostics and driving habits also featured in conversations about fuel efficiency. Questions from the audience helped connect these discussions with the decisions and concerns motorists encounter in everyday vehicle use.
SWICO representatives engaged with the automotive community and supported discussions on responsible ownership. The programme combined technical discussion with exhibitions and networking, creating opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge and meet organisations serving the motoring community. SWICO also received recognition for its support of the convention.
The event provided a useful setting to consider insurance alongside maintenance and efficient driving. For vehicle owners, each addresses a different part of the cost and risk of keeping a car on the road. SWICO’s participation supported a conversation about making informed ownership decisions and understanding the place of appropriate insurance protection.
