SWICO Donates 300 Bags of Cement to Alliance High School

At SWICO, our commitment extends beyond providing insurance solutions; it’s woven into the fabric of supporting the communities we serve. This was powerfully embodied on 5th February, when our team joined our bancassurance partner, Bank of Africa, at Alliance High School in Nansana for a significant handover ceremony.

The event marked a poignant chapter in the school’s recovery. Last year, a devastating dormitory fire impacted a building that, unfortunately, was not covered under the school’s insurance policy. Faced with this challenge to both infrastructure and student welfare, we knew we had to act. In line with our core value of solidarity, SWICO provided 300 bags of cement—a foundational contribution to the rebuilding efforts and a tangible sign of our belief in the school’s future.

The handover was led by key members of the SWICO team: Ronald Jaggwe Muyingo (Marketing & Distribution Manager), Juliana Nakate (Claims Manager), and Daudi Mugabi (Corporate Affairs Manager). Their presence underscored the importance we place on direct community engagement. This donation is more than just construction material; it represents a cornerstone for continuity, enabling students to return to a secure and conducive living environment.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Bank of Africa for their collaborative partnership in this initiative. More importantly, we commend the administration, staff, and students of Alliance High School for their remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. Their dedication to maintaining educational excellence throughout this period is truly inspiring.

Investing in education is an investment in the nation’s future. By helping to rebuild this dormitory, we are not just restoring bricks and mortar, we are helping to secure a stable environment where young minds can learn, grow, and dream without interruption. Together with partners and communities, we remain steadfast in our mission to rebuild futures and foster sustainable progress across Uganda.
