On 4th December, we had the distinct honor of participating in the Annual Professional Drivers’ Conference, an event graced by the esteemed presence of the Minister of Works and Transport, General Edward Katumba Wamala. The opportunity to engage with industry leaders and the nation’s professional drivers on the pivotal issues of logistics, technological integration, and sectoral development was both insightful and valuable.
The discourse reinforced a fundamental principle: sustainable advancement in transportation is contingent upon prioritizing the human element—the skill, safety, and well-being of the professional driver. This aligns seamlessly with our core belief that true partnership within this sector requires a deep understanding of its operational realities and risks.
From our perspective as a committed insurance provider, these conversations are not merely informational but instrumental. Our strategic vision is to become the preferred insurance partner for Uganda’s transport sector. To achieve this, we recognize that we must move beyond a transactional relationship and towards a model of proactive collaboration and tailored innovation.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Uganda Professional Drivers’ Network for hosting this significant platform for dialogue. We also commend every professional driver whose expertise and dedication uphold the highest standards daily.
We are steadfast in our commitment to advance alongside this vital industry. Through continued partnership, shared knowledge, and dedicated innovation, we aim to contribute to building a safer, more efficient, and more secure future for all stakeholders on Uganda’s roads.
